Department of Dogs is a short 3D animated film about what happens to dogs after they pass away. June lands in the magical Department of Dogs, where she learns that all dogs have an invisible string connecting them to their owners’ heart, and must choose whether to give up hers and move on or return to her family as a invisible ghost. What does she choose?

A little nugget about Department of Dogs! 🐶

In 2016, I lost my dog and a few months later, my friend lost her dog. We were both grieving and turned to each other for support. We explored the idea of what
happens after a dog dies? It was then the concept of the Department of Dogs was born. The core of the film is the idea of this Department, where dogs go when they die.

Based on an essay by @misra11n titled ‘When Dogs Die’ 🐾
